April 1, 2022: Elisa Vigil and Dayna Wortham of Region IX Education Cooperative joined the show this week to discuss the April 9 Mental Health and Wellness Fair from 10:00 to 2:00 at Mountain Annie’s, They also shared a list of vendors that will be attending as well as the types of services Region IX provides for the community. 

March 28, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the April 24, 2022 Great American Cleanup and the PNM Aerial Inspection for wildfire mitigation. Also discussed was the fatal motorcycle accident on U.S. Hwy. 380. Republican Congressional Candidate Michelle Garcia-Holmes was in the studio to discuss her campaign and experience. Police Chief Lawrence Chavis joined the show to discuss a recent report of gunshots and motorcycle safety.

March 25, 2022: Dakota Jackson and Harley Bautista of T-Mobile joined the show this week to discuss the new T Mobile store location in Boulder Plaza and all the services and devices offered including the new Green iPhones and pet and child trackers.

March 21, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the Paradise Canyon Lateral Replacement, the Warrior Dr. Culvert Replacement, and the scheduled Capital Projects update at 7:00 am on Thursday morning. Also discussed was State Transportation Commission (STC) Meeting in Roswell. Robin Gelton and Mark Omero with Lincoln County Adult Literacy were in the studio to discuss the need for volunteers and to get the word out to people who may need Adult Literacy assistance. Ramon Griego, General Manager of Quarters Nightclub and Grill and The Ranchers Steak and Seafood Restaurant, and Chon Caswell, GM of Casa Blanca and Texas Club restaurants, joined the show to discuss Ruidoso staffing and affordable housing issues.

March 18, 2022: Kiya Boss of the Ruidoso Valley Greeters, a non-profit organization formed for promoting business development, joined the show this week to discuss the 2022 return of the annual Christmas Jubilee (Nov. 11 - 13, 2022) and the ways local merchants can participate. Also discussed is the history of the Greeters and how to get involved. 

March 14, 2022: Village Councilor John Cornelius joined the show this week to discuss his history with the village from the early 70s through his past 8 years as a council member including workforce housing and his son's involvement in securing the village's online security and his role with FEMA in Washington for getting the funds from the 2008 flood. Also discussed was the successful first annual Ruidoso Outdoor Expo. Cannabis Advocate Josh McCurdy also joined the show to discuss the upcoming April 1st retail sale of recreational cannabis in New Mexico and the associated regulations and challenges.

March 11, 2022: Laurie Benavides and Becky Brooks joined the show this week to discuss the High Mountain Youth Project, a Ruidoso nonprofit organization for vulnerable youth, the opening of their new location at 637 Sudderth Drive, and plans to add a 24-Hour Youth Crisis Shelter with overnight care in the Fall of 2022 for area homeless youth who need a place to stay. March 7, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the past weekend's Blue & Gold Ruidoso Warriors fundraiser, the March 12, 13, 2022, Ruidoso Outdoor Expo at the Ruidoso Convention Center, and the agenda for Tuesday’s Council Meeting including the approval of the sewer line extension for the new Region IX location on Mechem Drive plus an agreement for services with EcoServants. Also discussed were Village employees and promotions, and resurfacing grant applications for Brady Canyon and the Upper Canyon traffic circle. Police Chief Lawrence Chavez introduced the department’s newest officer, Ryan Munoz, and the Mayor swore him in. Chief Chavez also discussed last week's police activities including a disturbance at the hospital and the arrest of two suspects in a string of home robberies and the community's assistance in their capture.

March 4, 2022: Sam Freed, Director of Marketing for Noisy Water Winery joined the show this week to discuss the business’ new Midtown location as well as the March 4 Alex Reymundo - It’s the Tequila Talking Tour. comedy show at the winery’s Enchanted Vine event barn. Also discussed was the March 13 opening of the Enchanted Vine Farmers & Crafts Market hosted every Sunday starting at 10 am. Market until 2 pm with live music starting at Noon.

February 28, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the past weekend's Republican Party of New Mexico Pre-Primary State Convention at the Ruidoso Convention Center, the 2022 Municipal Officer Elections, and the March 1 Village Council Workshop Meeting. Police Chief Chavez was in to give updates on the police activities this past week including an apparent suicide at Grindstone Lake.

February 25, 2022: Executive Director Stepahine Hale of THRIVE in Southern New Mexico, and THRIVE board member Bruce Ashburn of PNM joined the show this week to discuss the Benefit Concert with Jeff Carson on March 5, 2022. Also discussed was the success THRIVE had in fundraising last year and who they were able to help with the donated funds.

February 21, 2022: Gary L Jackson, Darren Hooker, Stephen Carter and Tim Coughlin joined the show this week for a 2022 Municipal Officer Election Candidate Forum hosted by Hospital Chief Executive Todd Oberheu of Lincoln County Medical Center. Municipal Judge Candidate Frank Potter who is running unopposed was also interviewed by telephone. Forum participants introduced themselves and provided brief candidate statements and answered questions about village issues including workforce housing, water issues, police, and the search for police recruits. Later in the show, infrastructure updates were also provided for the Paradise Canyon Lateral Replacement, Midtown Light Pole Replacement, and Center Street Renovation projects.

February 18, 2022: Zia Natural Gas Business Development Manager, Oscar Saucedo, and Jacob Kinney, Pipeline Safety Manager join the show this week to discuss the importance of calling 811 before you dig so that you don’t accidentally hit any buried utility lines in your yard. Also discussed are some rebates that Zia Natural Gas offers for upgrading to more energy-efficient appliances.

February 14, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the 2022 Municipal Officer Elections and next week’s candidates’ forum on this radio show, and village water use and rights. Infrastructure updates included the status of Broadband Expansion, Center Street Renovation, and Midtown Light Pole Replacement projects. Additionally, Ruidoso Police Chief Lawrence Chavez was in the studio to discuss two new officer hirings and George “The Trout Man” Schlemeyer was in to talk about improvements at Grindstone and Alto Lakes.

February 11, 2022: Professor of English, Department Chair of Language & Fine Arts Jeff Frawley of ENMU-Ruidoso joins the show this week to discuss the university’s new Fine Arts Magazine, Ridgeline Review, and how the community can submit for publication. Also discussed was the new guest speaker series, Feed Your Brain, every Wednesday at the ENMU-Ruidoso campus.

February 7, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the Lincoln County Day Legislative Reception in Santa Fe hosted on Feb. 2 by the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce. Networking opportunities included a virtual meeting with the Governor about funding for bridge and sewer rehabilitation. Additionally, Ruidoso Police Chief Lawrence Chavez was in the studio to share an immediate need for new officers and the criteria for non-certified recruits.

January 31, 2022: This week, Richie Hood and Barry Chase from First National Bank of Ruidoso joined the show to discuss local financing options for new businesses. Also in the studio, Water Resource Manager Eric Boyda discussed the Village water rights and municipal investments in water systems and infrastructure. Rick Hutchinson of Angus Church and Marci Butchofsky with Hope Harbor Transitional Home shared information about the upcoming event, Afternoon of Hope, at the ENMU-Ruidoso campus. Additionally, Police Chief Lawrence Chavez was in with new Officer Jimmy Lopez for his official swearing-in by Mayor Crawford. Also discussed was Officer Lopez’s background including his dive experience with installing the Wibit Water Park at Grindstone Lake.

January 28, 2022: Wildfire Prevention & Communications Coordinator Wendy Mason of the NM State Forestry Division joins the show this week to discuss the upcoming wildfire season and safety measures the public can take to help to prevent them.

January 24, 2022: Mayor Crawford was out this week, but Ruidoso Convention Center Manager Tim Roberts filled in with interviews of some Village directors. Rodney Griego shared the success and achievements of the Parks and Recreation Department. Forestry Director Dick Cooke discussed upcoming fire season concerns with regard to the below-normal snow season so far and how the Ball Park fire demonstrated the success of forest thinning efforts. Utilities Director Adam Sanchez provided updates on the sewer rehabilitation project. Also discussed was the FEMA Geotechnical Bridgework scheduled to begin January 26.

January 21, 2022: Executive Director with Ski Apache Adaptive Sports, Ty Bonnell joins the show this week to discuss the Annual Silent Auction fundraiser on January 29 at the Ruidoso Convention Center as well as how the program works and who it benefits. Also discussed is the addition of mountain biking in summer 2022 to the Adaptive Sports program.
