April 7, 2025: Guests and Topics Discussed

Michael Martinez, Deputy Village Manager, discussed the new Short Term Rental (STR) software program, which will become operational in July. This program aims to streamline the management of STR properties within the Village. He also provided updates on the Rural Air Service Enhancement program implemented by the State.

Adam Sanchez, Public Works Director, provided updates on the repair of the hot batch plant and shared information about the roads scheduled for repaving. He also discussed the current water restrictions implemented for the Village.

Fire Chief Cade Hall provided information on the upcoming Blood Drive sponsored by the Fire Department. He noted that 10 spots are still available for blood donations on Thursday, April 17th.

Matthew Baird, Parks & Rec Director & David “TBone” Tetreault, Assistant Parks & Recreation Director, promoted the scheduled “Keep Ruidoso Beautiful” Cleanup and Recycled Art Show. They also announced that the Easter Egg hunt has been relocated to Wingfield Park.

Eddie Ryan, Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships, promoted the Lincoln Forest Renaissance Faire, which will be held in Wingfield Park from May 16th to 18th.

Police Chief Steve Minner provided his weekly police activity report and discussed the FOIA request filed to obtain the report from last year’s South Fork and Salt Fire investigation.
