Adam Sanchez, the Public Works Director, discussed the timeline and obstacles for repairing Starlite Rd., including locating a large crane to place large cement “boxes” for the project. Sewer repairs are set to begin soon behind the Allsups at the corner of Sudderth and Mechem.
Michael Martinez, Deputy Village Manager, addressed the slowdown in debris removal from the fires and floods and attributed the slowdown partly to the depletion of county funds for the project.
Fire Chief Joe Kasuboski announced new promotions within the Fire Department and spoke about his upcoming retirement.
Matthew Baird, Parks & Recreation Director, and David “TBone” Tetreault, Assistant Parks & Recreation Director, discussed last weekend’s successful Christmas Drone Show, highlighted the popularity of the ice rink at Wingfield Park, and announced the new public restroom scheduled to be installed at the Country Club lot this week.
Eddie Ryan, Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships, discussed the premiere of the movie Santa’s Cousin at Downshift Brewery last Thursday.
Police Chief Steve Minner reported a slight uptick in disorderly conduct calls, including an incident involving a subject being struck by a vehicle, and announced the dates for the next Citizens Police Academy: March 6th – May 8th, 2025.
