  • Interim Fire Chief Cade Hall addressed the structure fire behind Walmart over the weekend that destroyed a home, though thankfully there were no injuries.

  • Adam Sanchez, Public Works Director, discussed several upcoming sewer projects in the Pinecliff and Country Club subdivisions, provided updates on paving progress in the Country Club area, and emphasized the importance of proper grease disposal, suggesting options to avoid dumping grease down drains.

  • Eddie Ryan, Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships, announced plans to give Dennis Muscari, the state of New Mexico’s head location manager, a tour of Ruidoso for potential future filming locations, and shared ideas for bringing BMX and X Games-style events to the Village.

  • David “TBone” Tetreault, Assistant Parks & Recreation Director, highlighted this week’s Christmas events, including the Christmas Tree lighting at Wingfield Park and the Christmas Light Parade on Saturday evening.
