• Michael Martinez, Deputy Village Manager, provided an update on the 603 Mechem housing project, including news that the landscaping has now gone out to bid.
• Assistant Fire Chief Austin Meuli discussed the wildfires in California and confirmed the department’s readiness to assist with firefighters and resources as needed.
• Adam Sanchez, Public Works Director, gave an update on the snow removal process, emphasizing that the main thoroughfares and school bus routes are the first priority. He also highlighted the importance of signing up for the EyeOnWater app and mentioned a recent event at the elementary school where a water leak was detected.
• Matthew and David "Tbone" Tetreault from Parks & Recreation discussed the upcoming youth basketball program and previewed new adult activities planned for 2025.
• Eddie Ryan, Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships, had Steve Andrus from Xterra join by phone to discuss the August Xterra Ruidoso event and his visit to the Village this week for Lodgers Tax.
• Police Chief Steve Minner provided an update on traffic and road conditions following the past winter weather and shared news on the Citizens’ Police Academy, which currently has 13 applicants.
