• Fire Chief Cade Hall and Assistant Fire Chief Austin Meuli discussed two fires that occurred over the weekend. They also addressed last year’s fire at the Bear Barn Flea Market, which is being investigated as possible arson. Additionally, Chief Hall provided updates on the three local firefighters deployed to the Los Angeles wildfires.
• Adam Sanchez, Public Works Director, provided updates on Starlight Rd. and the water leak that occurred on Friday at Sudderth & Eagle.
• John Moon, State Liaison with DHSEM, reminded residents that there is still time to sign up for the full-service debris removal program for residents. He shared that 800 people have signed up so far, and over 600 properties have been cleaned up.
• Ashlie Carabajal, Water Resource Manager, explained the concepts of Hydraulics and Hydrology. She also gave an update on the progress of the new floodplain map.
• Eddie Ryan, Manager of Events & Strategic Partnerships, announced that a new movie will be filmed in February, with a production schedule of three weeks. He noted there will be opportunities for local actors and a need for a few local filming locations.
• Matthew Baird and David “TBone” Tetreault, from Parks & Recreation, discussed preparations for the upcoming high school baseball and softball season.
• Police Lieutenant Jamie Urban addressed rumors about possible ICE activities in the Village.
