April 4, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the April 1 start of NM recreational adult-use cannabis with Arnold Duke from Elevation 6420 in the studio. Ruidoso Parks and Recreation Director Rodney Griego and Lizza Miller joined the show with a status update about the Moon Mountain feasibility study. Shirley Donaldson shared information about the May 2022 beginners’ clogging class at the Ruidoso Community Center. Sue Hutchinson and Chef Brendan Gochenour discussed the Hope Harbor April 30 fundraiser, ‘Afternoon of Hope’ at ENMU. Also joining the show this week were Eddie Gutierrez and Jamey Rupley of Downshift Brewing Company at the Hidden Tap and Police Chief Lawrence Chavis to discuss the Citizens’ Police Academy and the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 30, a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs.

March 24, 2022: David Tetreault with Keep Ruidoso Beautiful joined the show this week to discuss the 2022 Great American Cleanup scheduled for April 24 and how to get involved. Also discussed was the April 16 Bunny Run/Walk and Easter Egg Hunt at Cedar Creek Recreation Area.

March 7, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the past weekend's Blue & Gold Ruidoso Warriors fundraiser, the March 12, 13, 2022, Ruidoso Outdoor Expo at the Ruidoso Convention Center, and the agenda for Tuesday’s Council Meeting including the approval of the sewer line extension for the new Region IX location on Mechem Drive plus an agreement for services with EcoServants. Also discussed were Village employees and promotions, and resurfacing grant applications for Brady Canyon and the Upper Canyon traffic circle. Police Chief Lawrence Chavez introduced the department’s newest officer, Ryan Munoz, and the Mayor swore him in. Chief Chavez also discussed last week's police activities including a disturbance at the hospital and the arrest of two suspects in a string of home robberies and the community's assistance in their capture.

February 24, 2022: Learn more about the popular youth basketball league, the upcoming Water Babies swim classes at the RAC’s indoor swimming pool, and the first annual Outdoor Expo at the Ruidoso Convention Center on March 12 and 13 plus participating vendors.

February 10, 2022: Ruidoso Middle School Basketball Coach Tracy Hernandez joins the show this week to share information about the youth basketball programs both through the Parks and Rec Department and Ruidoso Schools. Also discussed were the success and final days of the Ice Rink at Wingfield Park 2022 season which ended on February 6.

January 27, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the closing of the Wingfield Park Ice Rink on Sunday, February 6, and its continued popularity. Also discussed was the start of Youth Basketball and upcoming Youth Soccer and Adult Volleyball leagues. The show closed with a discussion of the offerings at the Ruidoso Community Center.

January 24, 2022: Mayor Crawford was out this week, but Ruidoso Convention Center Manager Tim Roberts filled in with interviews of some Village directors. Rodney Griego shared the success and achievements of the Parks and Recreation Department. Forestry Director Dick Cooke discussed upcoming fire season concerns with regard to the below-normal snow season so far and how the Ball Park fire demonstrated the success of forest thinning efforts. Utilities Director Adam Sanchez provided updates on the sewer rehabilitation project. Also discussed was the FEMA Geotechnical Bridgework scheduled to begin January 26.

January 13, 2022: Sydnee and Romi discussed the great success of the Ice Rink at Wingfield Park including expanding the hours of operation and Wednesday afternoons with free admission and skate rentals for locals. Also discussed was the addition of a second session from 3:30 to 4:30 for the Sunday afternoon Smart Start Basketball program and an extended deadline for Youth Basketball.

January 3, 2022: Show highlights this week included the success of the Wingfield Park Ice Rink, the New Year’s weekend big snow event, the success of and the great job in preparation and execution of snow removal by the Streets and Parks and Recreation departments. Also discussed was the Ski Apache closure Monday thru Wednesday leaving local businesses and visitors upset. Barry Chase, a Commercial Loan Officer at 1st National Bank was in-studio to discuss how people can start a business or get a loan to help with an existing business. Mayor Crawford, Tim Dodge, and Ron Sena discussed the January 4 Council Workshop Meeting and agenda items.

December 30, 2021: Sydnee and Romi discussed the great success of the Ice Rink at Wingfield Park including expanding the hours of operation and announcing Locals Day on January 3 with free admission and skate rentals. Also discussed were the upcoming Youth Disc Golf and Smart Start Basketball program.

December 20, 2021: Ruidoso Parks and Recreation Director Rodney Griego discussed winter activities at Wingfield Park including the new Ice Skating Rink and the Trail of Lights display. State Rep. Zach Cook called to say that the final redistricting of the state that was completed last week. Police Chief Chavez discussed the success of the first annual Shop With A COP Christmas event and the successful capture of a suspect in the Sierra Blanca Motors break-in. Also, area youth talked about what Christmas means to them.

December 6, 2021: Parks and Recreation Director Rodney Griego joined the show this week to discuss Christmas events as well as the possibility of adding an ice skating rink to Wingfield Park for the winter season. Community Development Director Samantha Mendez was in the studio to discuss the Workforce Housing Mesa Apartment site plan to be presented during the December 7 workshop meeting. Police Chief Chavez also joined the show to introduce Officer Whitt who graduated from the Police Academy in Albuquerque. Also discussed were changes to the Festival of Lights traffic route.

November 22, 2021: Guest host and Parks and Recreation Supervisor Rodney Griego was in the studio to discuss the near completion of the new Cree Meadows Trail, future plans and projects including conceptual plans for Wingfield Park and the White Mountain Sports Complex. Village Project Manager Zeke Greer provided infrastructure updates on village bridges, the new Lift Station in the Upper Canyon, and easing traffic flow for the holidays. Dick Cooke, Director of Forestry, provided information about a Moon Mountain Fuel Management Study, and State Representative Zach Cook discussed the December and January state legislative sessions.

November 18, 2021: Elda Herrera of Sabor Dessert Shop and Tracey Hernandez with A Christmas Affair join the show this week to the holiday event to be held at the Ruidoso Convention Center December 3 - 5, 2021. A Christmas Affair will have vendors with items for the Christmas season. Also discussed was the upcoming Turkey Trot, 5k run/walk on Saturday, Nov 27 as well as other upcoming events.

November 11, 2021: Learn about upcoming youth sports in the area as well as the upcoming Cops for Kids Turkey Shoot-Out Benefit Basketball Tournament. Also discussed was the upcoming 7th annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk and events scheduled for the Christmas season.
