February 6, 2023: Conversation this week centered around the Lincoln County Day event in Santa Fe hosted by the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Public Employees Returning to Work Program to address temporary staffing shortages, and the Ride Ruidoso Spring Thunder concert on May 20, 2023, with headliner band Molly Hatchet at Wingfield Park. January 30, 2023: Topics of discussion in today’s episode included tomorrow’s Lincoln County Day in Santa Fe - sponsored by the Ruidoso Vallery Chamber of Commerce, the progress of capital projects, including the Wingfield House and Horton Complex, and the Village’s Strategic Planning process. Rick Hutchison and Shippen Salas with Hope Harbor New Mexico joined the show to discuss their An Afternoon of Hope fundraiser on March 4, 2023, at the Ruidoso Convention Center and future plans for the organization. Police Chief Lawrence Chavez discussed the next Citizen's Police Academy and the beating of Tyre Nichols. 

January 9, 2023: This week, Adam Sanchez, the public works director for the Village of Ruidoso, visited the show to inform us of plans to improve Sudderth and Upper Canyon. Village Clerk Jini Turri shed light on the council meetings and streaming options available. Tim Roberts reported on the Wingfield House Heritage Center and Convention Center. Fire Chief Joe Kasuboski and forest director Dick Cooke discussed fire prevention and forestry thinning projects, while Judi Starkovich, finance director, talked about Village budgeting and GRT. Chief Lawrence Chavez outlined holiday police activities and the upcoming Citizens Police Academy.

September 26, 2022: Mayor Crawford and Village Officials recapped highlights from the successful Downshift Brewing Company's Oktoberfest in Midtown last weekend. Also discussed was the October 1-2, 2022, AspenFest celebration with a 10:00 AM parade through Midtown, immediately followed by fun, food, music, and drinks at Wingfield Park. Police Chief Chavez reported on the investigation status of a Ruidoso woman’s abduction and the primitive human skull that was found on a Ruidoso construction site as well as details on the new training simulator and Citizens Police Academy. 

September 19, 2022: Mayor Crawford and Village Officials recapped highlights from the inaugural Ride Ruidoso Week 2022 benefit event. Police Chief Chavez reported on the investigation status of a Ruidoso woman’s abduction and the primitive human skull that was found on a Ruidoso construction site. Construction updates were provided on several ongoing projects and Jamie and Case from Downshift Brewing joined the show to discuss their September 24, 2022, Midtown Oktoberfest event including bands, contests, and food/beer offerings.

September 12, 2022: Mayor Crawford and Village Officials expressed 9/11 remembrances. Police Chief Chavez reported on the primitive human skull that was found on a Ruidoso construction site. The new Village Clerk Jini Turri joined the show along with Carson Stetheimer, a student member of the Ruidoso Gymnastics Association to promote their 2022 Online Auction fundraiser. Members of the Capitan Tigers Cheerleaders squad were also in the studio to announce their participation in the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving parade in New York City and to receive a donation from the Ruidoso Jockey Club to help fund their travel.

August 1, 2022: Show topics this week included Executive Order 2022-04, a temporary abatement to the annual CPI adjustment to utility rates, flooding within the McBride Fire burn scar, the August 2, Special Meeting agenda, and updates regarding the Workforce Housing project. The concert lineup was announced for the 2022 Ride Ruidoso Week, a motorcycle benefit event on September 12 -18, 2022, at Wingfield Park, in addition to expanded parking capacity for the Winter Park and Eagle Creek area. Ruidoso Police Chief Chavez was in the studio to discuss recent police activity and a 3rd Citizens’ Police Academy scheduled for September.

July 18, 2022: Show topics this week included infrastructure updates, including status reports on the Wingfield House, upper Sudderth Dr sidewalk project, bridges, and more. Guest Leroy Cockrell joined the show to discuss new OHV trails in the Hale Lake area. Parks and Recreation director Rodney Griego shared information about 2022 Ride Ruidoso Week, a motorcycle benefit event on September 12 -18, 2022, at Wingfield Park, and a new grant application for the White Mountain Recreation Complex Ruidoso Police Chief Chavez was in the studio to discuss recent police activity.

June 27, 2022: Show topics this week included Fourth of July weekend activities and events. the June 29 Special Meeting Agenda including the NMSA enhanced 911 requirements, and the Mechem Drive Workforce Housing Project. Tim Keithley from the Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and Casino joined the show to discuss this past weekend’s Derby and Futurity races and summer events..Congressional candidate, Michelle Garcia Holmes, called in and Ruidoso Police Chief Chavez Police Chief was in to discuss RPD active shooter procedures and the continued need for new officers and dispatchers.

June 6, 2022: Show topics this week included the Cienegita Fire on the Mescalero Reservation and the lifting of the READY status for all affected Ruidoso neighborhoods. Also discussed was the June 7 Village Council Workshop Meeting regarding village workforce needs. County Commission Candidate Alice Velasquez telephoned in to discuss her campaign. Ruidoso Police Chief Chavez Police Chief joined the show to discuss the gun violence and the procedures and training that Ruidoso Police have in place for such events. George “The Trout Man” Schlemeyer was in the studio to discuss the success of the June 4 Grindstone Lake Youth Fishing Tournament as well as summer fishing tips and advice.

Ruidoso Police Chief Chavez reported on the Motorcycle Rally related accidents and the May 24 - 27, 2022 New Mexico APCO/NENA Training and Vendor Conference in Ruidoso. Curtis Williamson of Schlotzsky’s was in the studio to discuss the impact of workforce challenges to his business.

April 11, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the 3rd Annual Bunny Run/Walk and Easter Egg Hunt at Cedar Creek Recreational Area, the return of the Wingfield Park Growers Market, and Mountain Coaster at Ruidoso Winter Park, plus music summer music events. Tim Roberts shared information about the May 5 and 6, 2022 Cinco De Mayo Celebration at the Ruidoso Convention Center. Ruidoso Fire Chief Cody Thetford joined the show to discuss his time with the Village and his plans for retirement. Adam Sanchez, Public Works Director, provided a status report of various public works repairs and Village officials shared information on the Moon Mountain, Wingfield Park, and White Mountain Master Plans. Ruidoso Police Chief Lawrence Chavis shared department plans for greater community engagement and a new consolidated dispatch center.

Also discussed was the fatal motorcycle accident on U.S. Hwy. 380. Republican Congressional Candidate Michelle Garcia-Holmes was in the studio to discuss her campaign and experience. Police Chief Lawrence Chavis joined the show to discuss a recent report of gunshots and motorcycle safety.

March 7, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the past weekend's Blue & Gold Ruidoso Warriors fundraiser, the March 12, 13, 2022, Ruidoso Outdoor Expo at the Ruidoso Convention Center, and the agenda for Tuesday’s Council Meeting including the approval of the sewer line extension for the new Region IX location on Mechem Drive plus an agreement for services with EcoServants. Also discussed were Village employees and promotions, and resurfacing grant applications for Brady Canyon and the Upper Canyon traffic circle. Police Chief Lawrence Chavez introduced the department’s newest officer, Ryan Munoz, and the Mayor swore him in. Chief Chavez also discussed last week's police activities including a disturbance at the hospital and the arrest of two suspects in a string of home robberies and the community's assistance in their capture.

Police Chief Chavez was in to give updates on the police activities this past week including an apparent suicide at Grindstone Lake.

February 14, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the 2022 Municipal Officer Elections and next week’s candidates’ forum on this radio show, and village water use and rights. Infrastructure updates included the status of Broadband Expansion, Center Street Renovation, and Midtown Light Pole Replacement projects. Additionally, Ruidoso Police Chief Lawrence Chavez was in the studio to discuss two new officer hirings and George “The Trout Man” Schlemeyer was in to talk about improvements at Grindstone and Alto Lakes.

February 7, 2022: Topics discussed this week included the Lincoln County Day Legislative Reception in Santa Fe hosted on Feb. 2 by the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce. Networking opportunities included a virtual meeting with the Governor about funding for bridge and sewer rehabilitation. Additionally, Ruidoso Police Chief Lawrence Chavez was in the studio to share an immediate need for new officers and the criteria for non-certified recruits.

January 31, 2022: This week, Richie Hood and Barry Chase from First National Bank of Ruidoso joined the show to discuss local financing options for new businesses. Also in the studio, Water Resource Manager Eric Boyda discussed the Village water rights and municipal investments in water systems and infrastructure. Rick Hutchinson of Angus Church and Marci Butchofsky with Hope Harbor Transitional Home shared information about the upcoming event, Afternoon of Hope, at the ENMU-Ruidoso campus. Additionally, Police Chief Lawrence Chavez was in with new Officer Jimmy Lopez for his official swearing-in by Mayor Crawford. Also discussed was Officer Lopez’s background including his dive experience with installing the Wibit Water Park at Grindstone Lake.
