July 31, 2023: In this episode, Christella Armijo, Water Resource Director, provided updates on water projects with the finalization of location 8a in the Upper Canyon near Main Rd 2 Bridge. The village is applying for water trust board grants for the spillway upgrade at Grindstone Lake and the construction of new lines in the Country Club subdivision. Michael Martinez, Deputy Village Mgr., updated the progress of the workforce housing project on Sunny Slope Dr. Samantha Serna, Community Development Director and County Commissioner, talked about available EDA funds for Lincoln County, potentially benefiting Upper Canyon Development and the High T project at Hwy 70 & 48. Samantha also discussed the replacement for the county manager and public works director. Deputy Police Chief Steve Minner gave an update on last week’s police activities, including a police chase in the Downs and a suspected drunk driver that caught residents' attention.
