June 19, 2023: Topics this week included the selection of a new firm for the E911 re-addressing project, which aims to improve emergency services and a new agreement for a digital display sign at the Country Club lot, and a tourism Familiarization (FAM) trip, where six journalists and social media influencers from the US and Canada visited the area. Also discussed were increased measures for wildfire mitigation. Jhett Black dropped by the studio to promote live music at the recently opened Downshift Brewing Company Riverside, and Ruidoso Police Chief Lawrence Chavez provided his weekly update on police activities, stressing the ongoing need for police officers and 911 dispatchers.
